Hi - After swapping out rotors a few times, we seem to be stuck on a D-6 and D-15 drive error.  It has happened in the past and was cleared out with an "enter-4-1-1-CE" code and it resumed use.  This time it will not clear out, does anybody know of a common cause of the drive error that can be checked / cleaned / fixed easily?

A D6 diagnostic indicates a problem with the rotor sensor which was actually a fairly common problem on the J-E centrifuges.  I always carried a spare and the Beckman Coulter part number is 369082.

A D15 diagnostic is a "time out while waiting for drive status which may or may not be related to the D6 error.

Beyond that, short of replacing parts there is not a lot for you to do except get service.

do you have to clear the error with the  4-1-1-ce  after replacing rotor id?
