Our lab is currently in the process of purchasing an analytical microbalance, and I am hoping to get some advice regarding this purchase. We need 1 ug readability with a >20g capacity, and have narrowed down our search to either the Mettler Toledo XPE56 or Sartorius ME36S.

The Sartorius is quite a bit less expensive at the expense of a slightly lower capacity. However, the main things that we are worried about are longtevity, serviceability, etc.

Does anyone here have firsthand experience with Sartorius? Any insight into whether the higher price of the Mettler Toledo version is worth it? Thanks in advance for any help!
