Hello,

Our D8 Discover K760 generator turns on OK in heating mode but when I turn the X-ray on it gives us "KV actual value > 110% of setpoints". And turns off with error code 3. For a video I made of this see https://www.dropbox.com/preview/MOV_0546.mp4?role=personal. Could you please help us with this?

I have attached sts file at the end of this message.   There is a 25 pin female (X530) connector on B20 board upper edge. It seems this connector is for diagnostic purpose and value of the voltage at its pins both in heating mode and operational mode can give helpful informations. Could someone you please do us a favour and send me voltages of this connector 25 pins with respect to ground (pin19) both in heating and operational mode if you have it? If you don't have it is very simple to measure with an ohm-meter. Just remove 4 front screw of K760. Pull the gerator towards yourself about 30 cm. Remove the thin front cover plate. X530 is a 25 pin female connector you can side on the top edge of B20 board. This is very important for us and I will appreciate your help and I am ready to return the favour in anyway I can.   D8Tools sts file:    ### --- D8tools Version 4.01/22-Apr-2009 --- ###

Gosh! I've been seeing the same error code recently. I also several reports posted with the same issue.

Thanks God I managed to solve the problem myself. Now K760 is working OK. We have low count with our Hi-Star detector. We have two option:

1- Re-gassing in house since Bruker not doing it anymore

2-Upgrade to Vantec-500

Anyone has done upgrading Hi-Star to Vantec 500 recently? How much is the total cost? I want to compaire and see if upgrade is worth it?

So what was causing the error code 3?

I think the V500 is like $80k, they were running a trade in special but not sure if they are doing that anymore.

Problem with code 3 was because of the B4 board in our case. I repaired it but usually one should replace it.

I have another problem now. I have started collecting data but in Gadds screen I see a 50 pixel wide blak area at the left not showing any pixel in this area. It looks like a black strip at the left. Usually you should see a almost circle pixel region but in my case this circle truncated at the left with about 50 pixel wide.

Anyone knows what could be the problem and how to fix it?
