condesation
We have noticed condensation at the bottom of the glass door of the incubator. What could cause this?
Hi there,
This could be a poor seal on the outer door, enabling cool air to leak in. Even ambient is cool compared to a chamber at 37°C! Only one degree lower temp than the rest of the chamber is enough to start causing condensation when the relative humidity is around 92-95%. In fact, a 1°C temp drop can induce a 10% humidity drop.
It could also be poor sealing of the inner door, but less likely.
Is the incubator in line with draughts ?
You could try setting the door temperature 0.5°C higher (heated by radiation from the outer door.
Hope this helps.
