Our StepOnePlus software crashes while booting, every time at the "Connecting to instrument..." phase. If you unplug the instrument from the laptop, the software will load as long as you click "OK" to acknowledge no instrument connection found. We believe the problem is due to a firmware error, as the "About the Instrument" screen reads "System Version: 2.2.3. Firmware Version: 126.96.36.199 : ERRor TBC:FV? [LLACE". I have received no help from ABI tech support, and wondering if anyone knows how to re-install the firmware or restore the machine to factory settings that could fix this firmware error.
