An exact and fast analysis of refinery gas is essential for optimizing refinery processes and controlling product quality. A 7890A GC configured for simultaneous operation of three parallel channels provides a complete refinery gas analysis in six minutes. The system conforms to ASTM D1945, D1946, and UOP 539 standard methods.

The 7890A GC’s Deans switch allows simplified, and fast 2-dimensional GC analysis. Co-eluting peaks are “cut” from one column to another of different phase. Compounds that might co-elute with analyte on the first column are separated from analyte on the second column. The oxygenates analyzer includes a split/splitless inlet, pneumatics control module, two columns (pre-column and analytical), two FIDs, and factory checkout. This configuration will meet the ISO EN 13132 method. An autosampler and Agilent ChemStation are strongly recommended.

So, I want to determine the components in a light oil mixture but for some reason, the GC doesnt detect it. When i use n-decane, I get a signal, but no signal whatsoever for light oil. Could it be that i'd need a different column...
I have a problem that my Agilent 7890A GC had suddenly powered off and when i tried to turn it on it goes off after the self-checking and displaying the Agilent technologies logo. What can I do ,please?
