Aura models are the most well constructed and durable ductless hoods on the market today. The base section is made from high grade aluminum with an acrylic sash and side panels. The head section (fan, filter and microprocessor control housing) is encased in a sturdy sheet metal frame with a powder coated finish. These materials were chosen for both strength and stability. Misonix units are made in the USA and built to last.
These units are available with either our E model or L model control systems and come in 3 sizes. "E" models feature our Advanced Filter Monitoring System which includes the following features:
Digital display of airflow velocity
Audible and visual alarms for low airflow and hydrocarbon breakthrough
Filter saturation alarms
Sensor that adjusts blower speed to maintain air velocity
Display of filter type
Time tracking of filter use
Safety filter to prevent chemical breakthrough even after main filters are completely saturated
All units consist of powder coated aluminum head and base section with fluorescent lighting, chemically resistant acrylic panels, removable fiberglass spill tray and an electrostatically charged pre-filter.
"L" models are for customers who do not require the added features of the Advanced Filter Monitoring System. This lower cost version is recommended for use with powders and acids which are not detected by the hydrocarbon sensor. The "L" model features visual alarms to notify users of low airflow conditions. Each unit is equipped with a test port for manual filter saturation testing. Gas detection tubes and pumps are available from several laboratory safety distributors.

Will the ductless fume hood Aura 550E work with anesthetic gases?
What filter would we use and how much is absorbed and passed through.
I am specifically thinking of the gas isoflurane.
