Ergonomic seating
I'm looking for a seating solution at our benches that lack leg room. We stand for all activities, so I was looking for a chair that wouldn't cause us to bang our knees into the bench and would help with fatigue after standing for a long period. I came across a fisher brand sit-stand chair and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these types of chairs in the lab. Advise this member.

What is the Best Sterilization Method for Your Lab?

Sterilization is a process designed to destroy and remove all forms of life present in a certain region. It’s accomplished by use of physical or chemical means. Autoclaves, for example, steam sterilize by high pressure and heat (250°F/121°C at the low end).

Another sterilization-by-heating technique uses infrared to kill microorganisms in a few seconds using temperatures up to 1500°F/815°C. On the chemical front, hydrogen peroxide can break down cellular tissue.

Lab Equipment Questions for the Experts

TA Instruments/Q50 - Replacement of hang-down loop
The Kapton Hangdown Loop of our TGA Q50 is broken (the loop where the hang down wire is attached). We already have the replacement part but we didn't find any instruction about its installation. In particular I noticed that the broken hang down loop is fixed to the balance arm with glue. I don't know how to remove it without risking to damage something. Any suggestion? Advise this member.

Heraeus/Contrifuge 17RS - Troubleshooting
We have a problem with this centrifuge in our lab. After setting up a program, we start the program and the number of rotations display led turns to 0000 and the centrifuge decrease the speed after initialization step. Please can you provide us with a technical assistance to solve our problem or to provide us the operating manual as we have not any? Advise this member.
