Plenty of discussions are happening on LabWrench all the time. We have many questions come in daily from users that are seeking advice from fellow users and lab professionals on LabWrench. Can you help any of these users find the answers they are looking for?

Need distance between...
I have an Olympus IX51 microscope. I need the distance between back focal plane of the objective lens and the point where FS is written located below the stage (right hand side)?  Help this member.

Squeaky Stovall Low Profile Roller
The roller is starting to make a squeaking/rubbing noise and I am wondering if there is any way to check this or to grease/oil the rollers.  Help this member.

Pyris 1 TGA problem while using oxygen as gas for sample environment
Whenever I use oxygen gas for my sample at low heating/ramp rates (5 degrees C/min), I fail to get the expected curve (showing drastic mass loss at oxidation temperature), rather I get the same curve as I get when I use air. However, at higher heating rates (10, 15 and 20 degree C/min) I am able to get the correct curve. I changed the oxygen cylinders, oxygen pressure regulators, I have check the inlet pressure and inlet flow rates too. Everything is in rage and normal. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  Fume Hood - Questions from the Vault

We have so many questions filling our forums that sometimes questions can be missed and go without answers. Can you help us provide answers for these users with unanswered questions?

Fume Hood Safety Features
I am wondering why all of the AC outlets (110v) in our science labs are GFCI yet all of our fume hoods do not have this safety feature? Click here to comment on this observation.

Maintenance Required?
We are getting very little air flow on our Fisher Hamilton Safeaire lab hood and the roof exhaust seems to be working well. We have a #70864.  Could filters be clogged? If so, where are they located?  Click here to advise this member.

Product Use Question
Will the ductless fume hood  Aura 550E work with anesthetic gases?  What filter would we use and how much is absorbed and passed through.    I am specifically thinking of the gas isoflurane.  Click here to share your knowledge.
