Torrey Pines Scientific EchoTherm HS65 is sparking
I have newly purchased 5-stage Hot plate and magnetic stirrer model HS-65 Torrey Pines scientific U.S.A. When I plugged in the power card on the rear of instrument and powered ON it, I observed a spark from the inside instrument and then found no power to the instrument. I replaced the power card and it started working fine. After some time the spark was observed and again no power to the instrument. I then repaired the same card and it started working fine but again after some time, the same happened again. I am very anxious about this. Please suggest me the possible cause of this problem and its solution. Respond to this member.

Napco 8000-DSE Temp goes too high
I've adjusted the temperature control knob to try to alleviate this problem, but when I do the next run, right near the end of the 15 minute cycle the temperature shoots way up beyond my desired range of 121 to 124 C. I've taken the knob off and turned the screw for adjustment but no luck. I've taken the solenoid apart and cleaned it. It did seem a bit "sticky" but was sliding ok when I put it back together. Is it the temperature control unit? Help this member.

Hach AutoCAT 9000 Chlorine Amperometric Titrator readings
We have been use an Autocat9000 for four plus years. It has been very reliable. However we are currently having an issue; every time we run the first sample of the day we get a reading even on distilled water - the second sample is below detectable limits. Changed the PAO, this helped for about a week. Now back to the same problem. We use a HACH colorimeter to verify the right numbers. Click here to share your knowledge.
