LECO Corporation to Host Two Applications-Based Webinars

This September, LECO Corporation will host two complimentary e-seminars.

  • Breath Analysis: Investigating the Human Volatome by ATD-GCMS will be held on Thursday, September 20, at 10 am EST (1600 hours CET). This webinar will show how scientists at Menssana Research, a leading  developer of advanced new breath tests for the detection of disease, utilize LECO's Pegasus® 4D GCxGC-TOFMS to detect and identify volatile compounds. The presenters, Renee Cataneo and Mayur Mundada of Menssana Research, will discuss how this technology improves compound identification by allowing them to better separate and demonstrate individual peaks that had previously been co-eluted.
  • True Peak Capacity Increases—GCxGC for Mega Multi-Analyte Methods and Emerging Pollutants of Concern will be held on Monday, September 24, at 10 am EST (1600 hours CET).This webinar will discuss the potential of GCxGC-TOFMS for mega multi-analyte methods for target, non-target, and unknown compounds. Examples will include a recent petroleum biomarker study for crude oil from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and tarballs collected from the Florida gulf coast, as well as the analysis of water from an urban river, the Las Vegas Wash. The e-seminar will be presented by Jack Cochran, a recognized expert in GC and GCxGC analysis of various pollutants in food, soils, air, water, and other matrices.

For both presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, and the webinar will be archived for future reference.

These free e-seminars are part of an ongoing series offered by LECO on various topics of interest to lab managers and technicians. Pre-registration is required.
