Long time Malvern Instruments team member Dr Alan Rawle was recently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). Dr Rawle has worked extensively with laser diffraction and other particle characterization techniques for more than two decades and the RSC fellowship recognizes his services to chemistry and continued contribution to analytical science.
Based primarily in the US and serving as Malvern’s Divisional Applications Manager, Dr Rawle is currently on a six-month secondment to Malvern’s global headquarters in the UK. As an active member of the scientific community he sits on several advisory and regulatory committees and has contributed to the development of numerous ISO and ASTM standards.
“We are delighted that the Royal Society of Chemistry has chosen to honour Alan Rawle and offer many congratulations”, said David Higgs, Head of Marketing at Malvern. “We’ve always believed that Malvern’s reputation is built not only on the quality and reliability of our products and services, but also on the expertise, knowledge and scientific standing of the individuals and teams behind them. Alan typifies this and has been flying the flag for Malvern for the past 20 years. He has had a significant impact on both the company and the scientific community as a whole.”
