Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum, one of the leading global manufacturers of vacuum pumps and systems, signed a contract with a distributor for the Commonwealth of Independent States CIS region. This contract will be the basis for a strategic partnership with Vacuummash, the leading vacuum pump and -systems suppliers in Russia and will facilitate the access to the CIS States.

The Joint Stock Company, JSC VACUUMMASH, is a leading vacuum technology company in Russia and the largest manufacturer of vacuum systems in the region holding a market share of around 30 per cent. Vacuummash has a deep know-how on the application requirements in vacuum technology, especially in the areas of process industry, R&D and the energy sector.
The company, which was founded in 1943 and has been in the vacuum business for more than 50 years, is deeply anchored with more than 400 employees in Russia and the neighboring CIS countries, having an excellent understanding of the application requirements of each field of trade.
There has already been a joint development cooperation and supply relationship between the two companies in the field of diffusion and booster pumps for the last twenty years. The recently signed, long-term agreement offers significant advantages for Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum, so that in the future, Russian clients in the areas of metallurgy, chemical, energy, and research and development will benefit from this agreement. Accordingly, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum will furnish fore vacuum and high vacuum products as well as complete vacuum systems into the Russian market.
The agreements also cover the use of Vacuummash’s servicing capabilities for Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum’s equipment in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This will further benefit market penetration in this region and enhance customer proximity.
