IDBS’ ActivityBase boosts plate-based screening and visualization capabilities

Platform up to 50 times faster for quicker lab decision making

IDBS announces enhanced screening and analysis functionality in ActivityBase XE 7.7. The latest release addresses growing assay volumes for high content and multiparametric datasets by processing information up to 50 times faster than the previous version. In addition, new visualizations and third-party integrations support image-based screening capabilities and faster analysis to support decision-making.

Developed with modern hardware architectures in mind, multithreading and improved memory management contribute to the platform’s noticeably faster processing capabilities. A 64-bit version for data volume scale-up is also offered. IDBS provides customers with a system review and optimization service and a best practice approach to rollout, ensuring minimal on-going internal IT support.

“In today’s high content screening environment, researchers are constantly coming up against larger, more complex datasets,” said Andy Vines, Product Manager at IDBS. “We recognized the need for more scalable and powerful data management technology in the lab as volumes increase and more advanced analysis methods are established. We’ve worked closely with our existing customers to incorporate these new elements to meet their changing needs. The latest features in ActivityBase dramatically increase productivity and continue to ensure reproducible data analysis and capture, enabling scientists to focus on research.”

ActivityBase XE has a long standing track record in optimizing screening workflows in the lab. It forms part of the comprehensive ActivityBase Suite, a single screening data management platform which streamlines information capture and analysis, enabling users to generate reliable, reproducible and traceable results and accelerate research and development (R&D). It also integrates with third-party systems including high content, image-based applications, enabling users to delve into real-time data from multiple sources.
