Enhancement to Life Technologies’ ProFlex™ PCR System designed to boost scientific research connectivity

Grand Interactive today announced it has developed a mobile application to enable researchers and technicians equipped with iOS and Android-based mobile devices to obtain real-time performance data from Life Technologies’ ProFlex™ PCR System, which is used in genetic research. The award-winning, custom PCR Essentials app frees scientists and technicians to remotely monitor, review data and perform other tasks without being captive to the immediate vicinity of the instrument.

PCR Essentials is an interactive tool that provides instant access to master mix calculators, how-to videos, and Life Technologies’ online product catalog. The app won a W3 Award from among 4,000 entries in a competition sponsored by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA).
