Investigating the effects of excipients on the earliest stages of aggregation - Aggregation inhibition by arginine

Use of static and dynamic light scattering to characterize the stability of lysozyme in the presence and absence of arginine. SLS is used to assess aggregation temperature, while DLS is used to measure the various particle sizes present in the two formulations at different temperatures, and measurements of zeta potential are used to assess the effect of arginine on the charge state of the protein.
