Syrris sells 40 flow pumps in under 4 months

Royston, UK (23rd June 2010) – Leading chemistry product innovator, Syrris, has experienced outstanding global success with its Asia Pump for applications within flow chemistry. Having sold over 40 continuous flow pumps since its launch in March 2010, Syrris has shipped units to laboratories and academic institutions in numerous countries, including Spain, USA, Japan, Korea, Norway and Hungary.

The Asia pump offers two independent, continuous flow channels for an extremely smooth flow rate, each with an integrated pressure sensor and flow rate range from 1.0 µl to 10 ml/min. Rated 20 bar (300 psi), the pump is only 23 cm wide and uses only glass and PTFE or other fluorinated polymers, making it extremely chemically resistant. Flow rate and volume are easily controlled via the intuitive front panel, or the Asia software, and the incorporation of a PTFE sensor ensures safe operation by automatically stopping flow when pressure exceeds a maximum value.

Designed for use with the Atlas Syringe Pump, the Asia Pressurized Input Store allows four reagents to be stored under an inert gas atmosphere. Providing 1 bar pressure, an ultra-smooth flow can be delivered due to the elimination of input cavitation and gas bubble formation at high flow rates.
