BROKEN ARROW, OK – The MINIDIS ADXpert analyzer from Grabner® Instruments is the new benchmark for ASTM D86 distillation testing. The fast, reliable and highly precise automatic distillation tester is the smart alternative to classical ASTM D86 testing. The versatile unit has about twice the resolution as D86 distillation units, yielding results that are well within ASTM D86r/R requirements. MINIDIS also performs according to the new D7344 standard for atmospheric distillation.
The MINIDIS development team focused on several specific design goals: automation, miniaturization and ease of use. The result is a breakthrough in terms of both design and performance. The fully automatic MINIDIS ADXpert allows for precise testing of various gasolines, jet fuel, diesel products (groups 0-4), biofuels, solvents, aromatics, organic liquids, chemical and contaminated or blended samples. Like the D86 method, the ADXpert performs a true atmospheric distillation but on a much smaller scale. It requires as little as 6mL of sample and is much faster. A distillation run on light samples takes just 15 minutes.
With its rugged housing, small sample volume and sealed metal distillation cycle, the MINIDIS ADXpert eliminates the need for a fire protection system. Its durable metal sample cups reduce consumable costs by replacing more costly glass flasks. The analyzer incorporates automatic rinsing, sample introduction and automatic cleaning programs, which guarantee the highest productivity and eliminate the need for manual cleaning of glassware, making the MINIDIS ADXpert a perfect solution for distillation testing in challenging environments.
Distillation testing has never been this easy. The user presses RUN and is guided step-by-step through the distillation program. No prior distillation test knowledge or tedious manual studies are required. Designed as a stand-alone analyzer, the MINIDIS ADXpert can be remotely controlled and easily integrated into existing Laboratory Information Management (LIM) Systems.
