Grant Instruments, an international supplier of precision sample preparation equipment, has recently introduced the PTR-35 and PTR-60 360° Vertical Rotators to their Grant-bio line of products for the life science laboratory. Available in two fully programmable models, the new Grant-bio PTR-35 and PTR-60 provide 360° vertical rotation, reciprocation, and vibration mixing functions all in one compact unit. The 360° vertical rotation function with speeds from 10 to 100 rpm creates long wave motion for mixing large particles. The reciprocation function with a 15° to 90° turning angle creates both long and medium wave motion for mixing medium as well as large particles and the vibration function which is programmable in bursts of 1 to 5 seconds creates a short wave motion for mixing small particles. All actions may be set for continuous or time operation and individual phases may be linked together for maximum operation flexibility.
The new Grant-bio PTR-35 and PTR-60 Vertical Rotators are compact and robust and come with an industry exclusive 3 year warranty. Each unit is supplied standard with a platform that will accommodate up to 26 or 48 microtubes respectively. Optional accessory platforms are available for both units that can accommodate popular size tubes of different diameters.
