PrepStar SD-1 is the first true high performance bench top solvent delivery system for preparative HPLC. The SD-1 delivers better gradient accuracy and reproducibility over a larger flow rate range than any other pump available today, making it ideal for the analysis and purification of peptides and small active pharmaceutical ingredients. A pressure transducer in each pump head provides instant flow and pressure feedback to the motors, to maximize flow reproducibility. An extended flow range, with interchangeable pump heads and complementary media options provide simple, linear scale up.

Features of PrepStar SD-1
- Microprocessor-controlled, rapid twin-drive and parallel pump heads with high-speed, chamber-pressure feedback, compensate for refill and solvent compression effects for accurate, reproducible flow rates over wide dynamic ranges.
- Powerful, independently-driven, twin-piston configuration produces high pressure capability for 200, 500 ml/min pump heads and slightly lower for 800 ml and 3,200 ml pump heads, all suited to small-particle, high-efficiency columns.
- Dual-motor, high-resolution drives ensure supremely accurate solvent delivery.
- Pulse-free flow extends column life by eliminating damaging pressure pulse effects of large piston and diaphragm pumps. Pulse-free design allows a small dynamic mixer, reducing system dead volume to £1.5 ml.
- Only HPLC pump that accurately deliver flows at analytical, semi-prep and preparative flow rates. A choice of hand-interchangeable pump heads delivers flow rates of up to 200, 500, 800 and 3200 ml/min.
- Optimize methods on 4.6 mm ID columns at 1 ml/min, then scale-up to higher flows on larger columns. Unique design generates accurate gradients at flow rates from 0.01 to 200 ml/min without changing pump heads.
- Pump heads available in stainless steel or titanium for biocompatibility.
- For analytical to prep applications use the Galaxie chromatography data system. For production, use LC ReSponder process control software and the PrepStar 530 modules.
