Teledyne Leeman Labs - Hydra-C
Mercury Analyzer
Teledyne Leeman Labs has expanded its popular Hydra Family of mercury analyzers to include the Hydra-C Mercury Analyzer. Hydra-C is designed to address the needs of analysts that want to use EPA's new method 7473 or that simply want to determine mercury without prior sample digestion.
The Hydra-C Mercury Analyzer is a fully automated mercury analyzer that permits the direct analysis of solid or liquid samples without the need for acid digestion.
The Hydra-C Mercury Analyzer is a highly refined instrument which incorporates numerous features that make its operation significantly more user friendly and sensitive than was available with earlier generation instruments.

Features of Hydra-C
- High Sensitivity - from Hydra's 25 cm long optical path
- Extended Dynamic Range - with "Selectivity Select"
- Simplified Sample Loading - the self-registering autosampler allows unrestricted rotation during sample loading. The optional on-line balance enables direct sample weight entry
- Automated Scheduled Maintenance - tracks system usage and instructs the operator when maintenance is recommended
- Ergonomic Design - provides easy access to decomposition and catalyst furnaces for ease-of-use
- Versatile Software - Microsoft Windows' XP programming with navigation panel makes system operation a snap
- 21CFR 11 Compliant Software - provides password-protected access control, electronic signatures, audit trail and data integrity
- Compatible with Liquid Samples - Liquid as well as solids can be analyzed
- Fast and Economical Service - The Hydra C's modular design allows easy exchange of furnace, spectrometer or autosampler modules
- Reliable Sample Movement - Samples are moved with high precision, motor-driven mechanisms that prevent the acceleration/deceleration related losses that can occur with gas-driven mechanisms
- Low Gas Consumption - Oxygen is used only as a carrier gas and not for pneumatic actuation
