Light source:
Three long living high power LEDs (blue, white, red)

Filterwheel with stepping motor, 6 positions for color modules
Lightpath:
An array of 8 high performance optical fibers in a shuttle system directs LED light bundled by lenses to samples. The fluorescent dyes in the reaction mix are excited through from above through the lid of the tubes. The reflected light is focused by lenses and directed through optical fibers to a photomultiplier
