The inverted microscope system for routine work

The IX53 has been designed from the ground up to be the finest microscope available for routine microscopic analysis. Combining excellent optical performance and mechanical quality results in a microscope system of outstanding value and comfort for frequent, regular use. Features such as the pre-centred phase contrast, relief contrast and the flexible UIS2 DIC system enable easy manipulation across all magnifications for thin and thick specimens. Condensers with different working distances and long working objectives allow observation and documentation in even the most complex sample devices.

Features of IX53

Ergonomy      The optional tilting binocular tube reduces operator neck strain. While the low positioned stage handle and focus knobs make long term use comfortable.

Stability      The IX53 inverted research frames are unsurpassed in compactness without any compromise in their rocklike stability, making them ideal for any application in which specimens are frequently changed.

Digital imaging      Olympus digital cameras can be adapted via the standard left side port. The wide range of cameras available offers a choice of models to best fit the required application. Olympus cellSens software packages enable archiving and analysis of multistained specimens. Basic and integrated software solutions are available and Olympus specialists will support you in choosing the best option.

High performance fluorescence      For fluorescence labelling in cell culture, Olympus fluorescence illumination systems and high definition ion coated filters provide the highest signal to noise performance. They incorporate the wavelength accuracy, edge steepness and low autofluorescence of UIS2 HQ fluorescence filters. Different fluorescence illumination systems are available to offer the best dye excitation according to individual application requirements.

Outstanding working distance      Condensers with different working distances and long working objectives allow professional observation and documentation in even the most complex sample devices. Even more micromanipulation, microinjection or IVF processes (ICSI or IMSI) can now be performed easily.

UIS2 - making the invisible visible      The UIS2 reveals previously unseen detail and protects cells from radiation. Superb signal to noise performance and enhanced spectral range deliver maximum signal with minimum excitation power. All contrast techniques for living cells can be selected, including pre-centred phase contrast and relief contrast for accurate and clear 3D-like images. The flexible UIS2 DIC enables contrast adjustment for thin and thick specimens in every magnification.
