The Horizon Model 653ES, Easy-Spin 12, is a single speed centrifuge designed for the clinical laboratory. The scrollable time setting and digital readout make it incredibly    
easy to use. The compact design minimizes its footprint,leaving more room on your counter. The unique horizontal rotor design allows for the test tubes to be inserted into    
the centrifuge at a convenient 45 degree angle. They are then gently rotated to a full, horizontal position as the motor accelerates.   
   
With its unique horizontal rotor and higher separation force, the Easy-Spin 12 reduces blood separation time from fifteen (15) minutes to ten (10) and is platelet-poor plasma capable. When spinning gel tubes, a thicker gel plug is achieved preventing re-mixing    
and safeguarding the samples during shipping. This greatly reduces false high potassium results and permits primary tube sampling.    
The Easy-Spin 12 features a digital time display that may be easily set from one (1) to ninety-nine (99) minutes. Electronic braking brings the samples to a fast, controlled stop, and may be disengaged for delicate samples. An audible end-of-run indicator signals when the run is complete. For safety, the Easy-Spin 12 features a transparent lid, a welded steel rotation chamber, a “0” RPM lid safety interlock system and an out-of-balance safety system. The Easy-Spin 12 comes standard with a complete set of 2-place tube carriers designed to spin test tubes up to 16mm x 100mm and 1.0” tube cushion spacers when using 75mm tubes.
