Thermo Scientific - NanoDrop 2000 / 2000c
Manufactured by Thermo Scientific
NanoDrop 2000 / 2000c Spectrophotometers measure micro-volume samples (0.5 µl - 2.0 µl) of nucleic acids, proteins and more in less than five seconds
Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 2000 and 2000c are full spectrum UV-Vis spectrophotometers capable of measuring samples as small as 0.5ul. Both instruments utilize a patented sample retention system which allows for micro-volumes to be directly pipetted on a measurement surface, virtually eliminating the need for dilutions. Measurement time is less than 5 seconds. The system allows scientists to quickly and easily quantify and assess purity of samples such as nucleic acids and proteins. As a result of patent-pending technology, NanoDrop 2000c combines the micro-volume pedestal technology and cuvette capability onto one platform. This innovative technology provides scientists the flexibility to choose the measuring technique most appropriate for a particular sample.

Features of NanoDrop 2000 / 2000c
- Fast measurement time of less than five seconds
- Innovative software for pre-configured and custom methods which provides flexible options to design reports and export data
- Perfect for measuring proteins with low wavelength absorbance, such as peptides at 205 nm
- Micro-volume sample sizes (0.5 µl - 2.0 µl) - ideal for precious high concentration samples
- High concentration measurement capability up to 15,000 ng/µl (dsDNA), which eliminates the need to dilute highly concentrated samples
Additional NanoDrop 2000c features:
- Expanded measurement options for all types of samples - choose the measuring option right for the sample: cuvette or pedestal
- Broader concentration range for measuring very low concentrations and very high concentrations
- Cuvette capability allows for kinetics studies (time or time/temperature studies) and cell culture (OD 600) measurements"
