Designed for the growth of suspension and microcarrier cell cultures, these stirrers work with cell culture flasks and other vessels designed for slow magnetic stirring. Also ideal for use in incubators, CO2 incubators, or cold rooms (–10 to 60°C). Precise, microprocessor control accurately maintains speed from 1 to 150rpm with slow start/stop feature, and a ramping feature slowly brings samples to set speed. Stirrers feature a powerful magnet for strong coupling to impellers or spin bars, an efficient drive motor that eliminates heat transfer to sample, spill-resistant housing, and a cast metal base for durability and added stability. The large top plate with position indicators provides a white reflective surface and the low profile design takes up less space and easily fits into most incubators. The one-position stirrers feature an aluminum top plate; the four-position and the 10L stirrers feature a glass-filled nylon top plate.  
 
Model 655 standard stirrers include a basic speed control knob with dial markings. The Model 755 advanced stirrers feature an LED display for speed that is adjustable in 1rpm increments. A built-in timer displays elapsed time or counts to zero and shuts off unit when programmed to user-defined limit. Audible alarm sounds when time reaches zero.
