Quick COD Analyzer Model HC-607 provides fast, accurate analyses and is easy to use with coulometric titration.

Quick COD Analyzer Model HC-607 provides fast, accurate analyses and is easy to use with coulometric titration. This analyzer is the culmination of 30 years of technology and performance that significantly reduces measurement times.

In environmental chemistry, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) test is commonly used to indirectly measure the amount of organic compounds in water. Most applications of COD determine the amount of organic pollutants found in surface water (e.g. lakes and rivers) or wastewater making COD a useful measure of water quality. It is expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/L) also referred to as ppm (parts per million), which indicates the mass of oxygen consumed per litre of solution.

Features of HC-607 Quick COD Analyzer With Coulometric Titration

Simplified Blank Measurements: an improvement of the electrode material frees the user from performing multiple blank measurements and both speeds up and stabilizes measurement operations.

Electrode Holder Improvements: the electrode holder now slides on its arm with a single touch thus resulting in improved efficiency and smoother operation.

Safer Electrode Mounting and Dismounting: electrode efficiency has been improved and contact defects reduced with an integrated structure that combines both the electrodes and the cables.

Timer Countdown for Oxidative Decomposition: the countdown timer signals the end-user when the oxidation is nearing completion in addition to a bell that signals completion thus freeing the end-user to attend to other lab processes.

Coulometric Titration: coloured samples do not present a problem when using coulometric titration.

Enhanced Statistics: a secondary differential is provided for the detection of the titration endpoint for high precision measurements.

User Friendly: the meter is easy to use with a user-friendly control panel, touch key input and dialogue interface.
