ABOUT CARBON 
Activated carbon has remarkable cleaning and absorptive properties, which makes it an effective way to clean water. Carbon is effective in removing chlorine, sediment and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The Carbon particles have a large surface area, allowing a small amount of carbon to efficiently filter large amounts of water. As water passes through the carbon filter many chemicals and contaminants in the water are bonded at a molecular level to the carbon, effectively removing them from the water. A large percentage of chemical compounds and organic contaminants, that cause taste and odor problems are removed by carbon.
