Fast Piezo Objective Mover
The new f-POM from ASI is a specialty piezo objective mover that provides high-speed, large-load, long-travel operation. It is offered in travel ranges of 150, 300 & 500 microns. The standard controller offers closed-loop 3dB bandwidth with a 600 gm load of 30Hz (11 ms for moves below 30% of travel range) & the high performance controller offers closed-loop 3dB bandwidth with a 280 gm load of 75 Hz for moves over 70% of the travel range (3.3 ms for moves below 30% of travel range). The unit can be configured for any size microscope objectives & has a through aperture of 18 mm. The overall physical dimensions of the f-POM are 102 x60x20 mm, and it has four M4 mounting holes on a 19x47 mm pattern. The unit works very well for SPIM & iSPIM applications where space is limited. The ASI ADEPT controller accepts a standard 0-10 Vdc analog input, or can be configured as an ASI Z device in most common imaging programs.
