The cell growth quantifier (cgq) is the first system for the automated and highly parallelized monitoring of cell density in shake flasks. Our patented technology allows you to follow the growth of your cultures in real time by measuring the cell density non-invasively through the wall of the shake flask.

This enables you to generate profound bioprocess understanding and maximize the success of your shake flask fermentations

Features of Cell Growth Quantifier

Base Station  The Base Station can be easily screwed onto the shaker, collects the measurement data from all connected Sensor Plates and organizes the transfer of the data to the cgQuant Software. Currently there are different versions of the base station that allow for the parallel real time monitoring of up to 64 different shake flask cultures.

Sensor Plates  Each Sensor Plate comprises highly sensitive sensorics for the non-invasive real time cell density measurement in shake flasks. Due to its lean design, the Sensor Plate can be easily installed under the shake flask and is connected to the Base Station. Afterwards the flask and Sensor Plate are darkened using a cover to allow for precise measurements even at biomass concentrations as low as 0.1 OD600.

cgQuant Software  The cgQuant Software analyses and visualizes the cell density and growth rate data from all connected sensor plates. This enables scientists to follow the growth of their cultures in real time and to perform post-experimental comparisons of different flasks and conditions.
