Shodex® RSpak® columns are packed with porous polymeric material that are stable at a pH range of 2-12 and have a different selectivity from silica-based columns. The wide pH range makes the chromatography of basic compounds much easier because it is possible to chromatograph at a higher pH without ion-pairing slats. Waters offers six different types of polymeric packings.
