This Ball Mill is used for grinding crystalline materials and for mixing dry or, under certain circumstances, moist materials. The balls are made of porcelain and have a diameter of 30 to 50 mm. The durable lid ensures that the Ball Mill drum maintains its airtight seal. The drum and balls can be conveniently sterilized in water.
In order to use the Ball Mill a drive support is required, which is optionally available in a lengthened version for the simultaneous use of two mills of the same size (KM 5 L or KM 10 L volume, working capacity max. 40%).
The small Ball Mill KM 0 (with 0.5 L volume, working capacity max. 40% and made of stainless steel) is attached to the drive unit via the ERWEKA Universal Gear.
