Pirani sensor measures from Atmosphere to 10-4 Torr . Uses a filament that is part of a wheatstone bridge. Bridge voltage is regulated to keep filament temperature constant. Since heat transfer from the filament to the gas increases with increasing pressure, the voltage applied to the bridge is proportional to pressure and may be displayed on an appropriately calibrated meter.
