Features of Novex XCell4 Surelock Midi
Easy to use Simple assembly (Figure 1) and operation for the ultimate in ease of use. A single SureLock™ actuator seals all gels while allowing for zero force insertion and foolproof positioning of the gels for sample loading.
Flexible Runs up to four Novex® midi-gels at once, while having the same approximate footprint as the Criterion™ Cell (Bio-Rad) which runs a maximum of only two gels.
Cost-saving efficiency Employs a passive cooling method, without the need for costly, external accessories. Since all you will need for electrophoresis are the XCell apparatus and a power supply, you'll save money on additional water baths, pumps, and stir plates; requires 25% less running buffer per gel than the Criterion™ Cell (340 ml vs. 460 ml).

The XCell4 SureLock™ Midi-Cell is impervious to alcohol, but not compatible with chlorinated hydrocarbons (e.g. chloroform), aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. toluene, benzene) or acetone.
The XCell4 SureLock™ Midi-Cell is compatible with NuPAGE® Novex® and
Tris-Glycine Midi precast gels.
