The Dynamax UV-DII absorbance detector measures absorbance alternately at first and second wavelengths. When a measurement is made at one wavelength, a projection is made, based on past measurement, of the value of absorbance at the other wavelength. A ratio is taken of the measured value at one wavelength with the projected absorbance at the other wavelength. Linear and non-linear projections are disclosed.
