LabLogic Systems - Debra 5™
Industry standard protocol based LIMS for drug metabolism studies complete control from initial definition through to final report
Debra has been designed from the ground up to handle the complexities of modern protocols. The full range of ADME studies are easily handled from Mass Balance, Tissue Distribution, PK and any combinations. With the Protein Binding module, a full of suite of protein binding assays can also be performed within Debra. The pooling module and dynamic link with our Laura radiochromatography software facilitate metabolite identification and quantification.
To achieve the goals of high productivity and GLP confidence, Debra captures raw data either directly from the instrument or via sample result data files from analytical instrumentation systems, and performs all calculations. This automatic data capture is used throughout Debra, from dose solution preparation and administration through to sample collection, completely eliminating transcription and calculation errors.
All data and results can be reported via Debra's reporting package. Our unique Document Management System seamlessly integrates tables, graphs and text into final report templates through an automated link to Microsoft Word.

Installation:
It is possible to store the Debra™5 executable program and online help either locally or on a network fileserver. Issues to consider in order to make this decision include the fact that storing the executable on a central server will ease
updating the software and also the client installation process. Conversely, storing the executable locally will reduce network traffic and improve the performance of the software.
Server
Hardware, operating system and Oracle software:
Due to the nature of Oracle® and the client/server architecture of Debra™5, the server platform is largely immaterial. Debra™5 supports the following Oracle® server versions:
• Oracle® 8i
• Oracle® 9i
• Oracle® 10g
To illustrate, Debra™5 has been successfully deployed on the following permutations
• Several varieties of Unix servers with Oracle® Server 8.1
• 500 MHz Pentium III running NT4 and Oracle® 8.1.5
• 900 MHz Pentium IV running Windows® XP server® with Oracle® 9.2.0.5 Several customers also operate Debra™5 under a CITRIX/Windows Terminal Server environment, many linking a number of sites to one central database.
Storage:
Default initial sizing of the database at the database at install-time is 400Mb.
To estimate the future database sizing assume between 2Kb and 10Kb per sample.
