Features of LabRAM IR2
FTIR module The FTIR module (IlluminatIRII from Smiths Detection) is hard coupled to the base unit and provides fast FTIR micro-analysis. Both contact and non-contact IR optimized objectives may be used as to optimise the measurement conditions for different types of samples. The Attenuated Total Refletion (ATR) diamond objective enables acquisition of the spectrum by contact of the sample without any preparation. For non-contact measurements, a high efficiency All-Reflecting Objective (ARO) lens can be used to measure absorption, specular or diffuse reflections.
Raman spectrometer The Raman microscope incorporated into the system is based around the established high performance of the LabRAM series of Raman microscopes, offering optimal confocal spatial and depth discrimination, multiple laser/detector options, and automated XYZ mapping.
Software All Raman and FTIR functions are controlled by a single comprehensive software package: LabSpec 5. In addition to the standard Raman functionality, LabSpec controls the interferometer, the entrance aperture, the resolution of the spectrum, the number of scans and provides also the relevant transformations (Fourier, Kramers Krönig, Kubelka-Munk). All the mapping controls and processing available for Raman mapping are also available for FTIR mapping and a direct link to spectral databases is easily accessible.
Options Measurements can be performed using a range of environment stages including temperature, humidity and catalyst cells.
