Hi Ronnie,

I do have a question concerning the Gradient 96.  I the photo of the Gradient 96 on this website there is a little red button on top of the Robotic Arm.  I have the exact same machine (Gradient 96 with Hot Top) with the little red button.  Could you please tell me how to use this button?  I have looked and looked through all the manuals and there is no reference to this button anywhere.

I cannot answer your question, but perhaps other LabWrench members who are more familar with the Stratagene Robocycler Gradient 96  will be able to offer you an explanation of the fuction of the little red button on the top of the robotic arm.

FYI:

I found out what that little red push button at the rear of the robotic arm of the RoboCycler 96 does.  I saw a sticker on a photo of Robocycler that had "Restart" printed next to it.  It probably allows the operator to restart the cycle over again if there is hangup or something does not look right.

I still have yet to see it listed in a manual but will keep looking.
