Optima TL-10 SPD Error

We have a Optima TL-100 with a TLS 55 rotor that gives SPD error exactly at 8000rpm every run.  I didn't think the TL-100 had an autmatic rotor sensor, so is the max speed something we can set?  Or is this a bigger problem and there is possibly a drive problem/level/balance issue?
