Getting reports out of the workstation in a digital format

Has anybody gotten data out of the workstation in a digital format, where it can be imported into a spreadsheet or database?

I have a workaround. Just wondering since it's running QNX if anybody has gotten a second network adapter to work or output via the serial port?
