Loses Memory when turn it off

Has anyone run into this problem? The machine has lost all our programs and when I add a new one it is also lost when the machine is shut off. Also the screen is only visible from an angle (approx 45 degree) above the machine. Any help would be much appreciated

According to the user manual (http://www.oyageninc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/cap/PCR_Express_%20UserManual.pdf) there's aninternal lithium battery - maybe it's weak?

Apologies for the late reply. As Medphysteo has mentioned, the battery has failed, if you remove the cover, on the right hand side of the unit you will see a "piggybacked" chip, probaly has some tie wire around it. Carefully remove the top chip (you will need this again) then prise out the lower DS1216D clock chip, replace this (if you can find one) reassemble and everything should be fine.

So is it really the case that there is not a separate battery for the programs, but the one that maintains the programs is actually integrated into the DS1216D clock chip? (What a pain!) And to remove the cover: on the underside of the machine I see 5 x Phillips heads (inside each rubber foot) and 2 x hex heads. On the back, I see 2 x hex. On the top with the heat block removed, I see 4 x hex heads. Does anyone happen to recall which need to be removed to access the battery? Thanks!
