MS1602S

I have a question: how do you determine the accuracy in +/- g of this balance at the following weights?

250 g

500 g

750 g

Your specs state acc. to 1%, k=2, what does that mean? (1% of 2 grams minimum Load = .02g accuracy?)

I need an accuracy of +/- 0.1 grams at max weight of 750 grams.

Thanks,

Weigh

The estimated 2 sd MS1602S Accuracy at:

At 250g +/- 0.02g

At 500g +/-0.03g

At 750g +/- 0.05g

You will need to test your balance as installed to see if the estimates above pertain to your application.  Variables include quality of the environment and weighing surface the balance is installed in, whether the balance is performing within published specifications, operator technique, and sample and container characteristics.

1% k=2 means a maximum weight error of 1% with a sucess rate of 95% or better of samples weighed.  This is used to define the published typical minimum sample weight.  We also publish typical minimum sample weights for 0.1% 2sd (USP 41) and OIML (European standard).  If you have any questions I can be reached at dan.yaconis@mt.com or 614 438 4821.
