No signal in the ELS detector
I have an acquity UPLC with ELS detector. There is no signal from the detector. We have cleaned the Nebuilzer and the drift tube. Any suggestions.

Reply byDid you solve your ELS problem? I was going to ask if this is a brand new methodology or one with a good track record. If method gave peaks before:
1. Check that the exhaust tube is not building up condensate.
2. Is the true baseline overrange? Mobile phase contaminated?
3. Can you see condensate in the nebulizer tube? Nebulizer may still be defective or gas glow problems.
4. Siphon tube positioned correctly and fluid in the bottom u-trap?
5. Perform the sensitivity test with analyte specified in the manual. If this works, then problem is with methodology.
6. Peaks reappear with increase in nebulizer gas pressure/flow, then have leak in system.
7. Perform electronic noise, column noise, and stray light tests specified in manual. If high, then perform bake out procedure.
