Mysterious wires - IEC Centra GP8R Centrifuge

Hey all,

While I have my centrifuge open for a circuit breaker repair, I thought I'd poke around. I noticed a set of wires underneath the bowl that don't seem to be attached to anything. Seems strange to me. Does anyone have a hunch as to what these might be for?

Hi Chris,

They might be thermistor wires for the refrigeration system, for the tech to measure temperature in the system. Any colours, markings, or labels you can identify?

Hey Jeff,

The wires are light brown in color and seem to disappear into the insulated area of the bowl. The wires enter the bowl at the same location as the refrigeration system. I took a few photos but I can't figure out how to add them to my post...

Chris,

Those are T-type thermocouple wires, blue and red in a brown PFA sleeve, for the use of the refrigeration tech.
