Won't recognize balance
The digital readout part of the balance will not recognize when the actual balance is connected or disconnected. Does anybody have a solution to this issue?

Check the serial number on both the terminal and the weighing platform and make sure that they match.
The cable between the two may have failed; 211535
The MT5 was discontinued 2001. Service parts are no longer available.
