Replacement of hangdown loop

Good morning everyone,

The Kapton Hangdown Loop of our TGA Q50 is broken (the loop where the hang down wire is attached). We already have the replacement part but we didn't find any instruction about its installation.

In particular I noticed that the broken hang down loop is fixed to the balance arm with glue. I don't know how to remove it without risking to damage something.

Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot.

Dario

We have the same problem with the TGA Q500. At first we thought it is a fault of the local technician, but since you dealt the same problem, perhaps it's TA's method. Did you find any solution in order to change it?

 Hi...

Just use Twizer to remove the old one and install the new one as in the linked picture , use very very small amout of superglue for the new one.

Thank you for the valuable info. But the thing is, how to remove the already glued loop, before I install the new one?

Hi Theo,

There is no specific way, since very small amount of glue used, i think you will not face a problem to remove it,  try to use two tweezers ,
