Horiba LA-910

I don't know if anyone could help me with a general question about our Particle-Size analyzer that I can't seem to find online.  First, it says there is an adjustable scan time from 10-100 seconds.  How many scans are done per second? Is there a "huge" difference going from 15 to 20 seconds?
