We have changed the battery now but need to restore the equipment to the normal operation settings first of all return the equipment to english language. Please help me with this.

Adolfo,

It should be FUNC then Item 6, then Item 9 and then Item 1 under the FUNC submenus.

Dear Adolfo,   Maybe it's not the best and technic answer, but in this case, I will use the Google Translator App from a cell phone, it can translate letters from pictures.   Take a photo of the Japanese screen and configure the translator to read the screen in Japanse and translate it to English, in that way you can naviagte until the Language Configuration Screen, and return the GC to English.   Instructions to translate images. https://support.google.com/translate/answer/6142483?hl=en   Successes.   Andrés

Until today I was able to go to the lab. I have used the keystrokes you gave to me, and now I have the equipment again in English. Now I am configuring again the GC, I hope that every thing goes OK, but in case I have trouble, I will cask to you again.

Thank you a lot it saves us in the lab a big bunch on dollars. Have a nice day.

Hello Dan,

The configuration of the GC was lost, so I am working to reconfigure it. My GC has three detectors: FID, ECD and FPD and two Split/splitless injectors. But now when I check the INJ button for injectors the display shows : Inj port is not installed and for detectors the same, when I press DET it says Detector is not installed.

I went then FUNC pressed 7 Service/Maintenance and then went to 1 Installation (Position)

Then I have configured the position of Injectors and detectors:

Port               Type               Position

INJ1                 SPL                   6

INJ2                 SPL                   7

DET1               FID                    1

DET2               ECD                 2

AUX3              FPD                  4

AUX4             -------              ---------

AUX5             --------            ---------

I have selected the position according to a table in the GC manual.

I have checked in the manual of the GC but I cannot find the proper explanation.

I don't know how to configure this detectors and injectors., can you help me with this?

Thank you,

Adolfo

Adolfo,

Have you configured the analyical lines on the system.  The detectors and inlets will not be active until they are installed and configured as part of an analytical line.
