How do you disassemble the front of the instrument to take apart to lubricate the elevator assembly.

This is a pretty easy process. You just have to take out the 8 screws along the edge of the front panel. Carefully pull out the elevator assembly. There will be wires connected to it, so just ease it out enough to lubricate the screw. Use a Teflon grease, not an oil to lubricate. Push the elevator back in and tighten up all the screws and then run the elevator up and down a few times.
