Injection Port Brass Sleeve

I have an on-column injection port. There is a brass sleeve inside the port that guides the syringe into the column during injection.  This brass piece has become lodged inside the injection port.  It will not slide up and down.  Does anyone know how to dislodge that piece?

Its not an easy solution but I think you might have to remove the entire injection port body, remove the heaters and then sonicate the whole thing to try to loosen it up Dan
